Boomers Can Apply For Social Security Online

aging baby boomers

Now instead of a trip to the Social Security office you can do it all online at the Social Security’s Web site. I’d sent this out as a tweet last night and then I thought about it—dude, post this! People need to know–not just twitterers. According to the UCAN consumer watchdog Web site it takes all of 15 minutes to go through the online application. They say they’re nearly 89 million of you boomers in the US. That’s a lot of folks. A baby boomer is someone born between 1946 and 1964, by the way. So yeah, go to the Social Security Web site and do your thing. There’s nice a video of Patti Duke (memba’ her) to assist you through the process.

Applications can be found at: http://www.socialsecurity.gov/
